Dave Drew is serving his first term in the elective office of Sheriff following a 31 year career in law enforcement. He is a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and has a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. During his career, Sheriff Drew worked assignments in all divisions of the sheriff’s office as well as an eight year assignment with the Federal Tri-State Drug Task Force.

Sheriff Drew administers a combined sworn and civilian staff of approximately 120 people and manages a financial budget of almost $9,500,000.00. During his term, Sheriff Drew will remain fiscally responsible while keeping the citizens of Woodbury County safe.

Sheriff Drew is married with four children and two grandchildren. He has been a lifelong resident of Woodbury County, Iowa and is honored to serve the citizens of this community.
