Pat Gill has lived his entire life in Sioux City and Woodbury County. He was first elected Woodbury County’s Auditor and Recorder in November of 1996. He previously served two terms in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1991 through 1994. Mr. Gill comes from the private sector with experience in construction and financial services.

Mr. Gill is a strong proponent of open government and strives to make county government user friendly and provide excellent customer service. He understands that county government needs to keep pace with the demands of its users as technology changes but the costs for those services can’t outpace the taxpayer’s ability to pay for them.
