NOVEMBER 1, 2011 — FORTY-FORTH MEETING OF THE WOODBURY COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS The Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Board members present were Monson, Clausen, Smith, Tripp, and Boykin. Staff members present were Karen James, Board Administrative Coordinator, Joshua Widman, Assistant County Attorney, and Patrick F. Gill, Auditor/Clerk to the Board. The Claims were approved as presented. Copy filed. The meeting was called to order. The Board approved the reclassification of Timothy Lake, Custodian, Building Services Dept., effective 11-17-11, $13.05/hour, 4.8%=$.60/hour. Per AFSCME Courthouse Contract, from Grade 1/Step1, to Grade 1/Step 2. Copy filed. The Board approved the retirement of Beverly Smith, Civilian Jailer, Sheriff Dept., effective 11-30-11. Retirement. Copy filed. Motion by Boykin second by Tripp to receive the Sheriff’s Civil Division First Quarter and Year to date Report. Carried 5-0. Copy filed. Motion by Tripp second by Smith to authorize the Chairman to sign an agreement with the City of Smithland combining city precincts with township precincts, per recommendation by Patrick Gill, County Auditor. Carried 5-0. Copy filed. Motion by Smith second by Boykin to approve the Chairman to sign the contract with Sioux Commercial Sweeping, Sioux Center, IA for HMA Crack Sealing, per recommendation of County Engineer Mark Nahra. Carried 5-0. Copy filed. Motion by Boykin second by Tripp to approve the tile crossing permit for Kenneth Bruene Trust, per recommendation of County Engineer Mark Nahra. Carried 5-0. Copy filed. Motion by Boykin second by Tripp to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Permit to Work in the County Right of Way by Gary Hunter, per recommendation of County Engineer Mark Nahra. Carried 5-0. Copy filed. The Chairman asked if there were any individuals or groups wishing to make a presentation of items not on the agenda, or Supervisors concerns.
